During this COVID-19 crisis, we fully understand that our Offertory collection will not be able to meet its budgeted amount for the time being.

St. John’s has been very blessed over the years and we find ourselves on very sound and stable financial footing to weather this passing storm.  We are in a good position to keep “paying the bills”, but we want to be able to continue offering charitable support through social outreach opportunities and help those in need where we can.

We hope to be especially generous to our parishes in poorer communities where they will be affected particularly hard.

This is where we need to

ask for your help.

Because many have asked, we wanted to remind you that if you are able, there are many ways to continue your church offerings while we combat this virus:

  • If you are an envelope user, simply mail them to the parish office.  Put them in a plain envelope addressed to St. John’s Parish Office, 1055 Hughes Road, Madison, AL  35758

  • Sign-up for Online Giving. Nearly half of our weekly collection comes in this way.  You can schedule one-time, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly donations.  Special Collections and Holy Days are already listed by date so that you can schedule the whole year if you would like.  If not, we always send a reminder email to our online givers about upcoming 2nd or Special Collections.

  • Use your own bank’s Bill Pay feature.  Set St. John’s Catholic Church up as your payee and use your envelope number as the account number. If you contribute different funds (Offertory, Building, SVDP, Seminarian, etc), set each of them up as separate payees, adding the specific fund name to the account number.

As always, we are very grateful for the generous support of this parish.

You are all in our prayers during these difficult times and we can't wait until life gets back to normal, whenever that may be!

We know there are many blessings yet to be found.
