Bereavement Ministry

Committee members send cards and CareNotes to parishioners who have experienced the loss of a parent, spouse, child or sibling. Sponsors an All Souls liturgy in November for babies who are stillborn or miscarried and for all children who have passed away. Plans grief workshops/presentations.

Compassion and Cancer Support Ministry

Supports parish members diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening illness by home visits, telephone calls and/or prayer. Offers a summarized list of practical help resources to those affected with/by cancer.

Couple to Couple League

Dedicated to promoting and teaching fertility awareness (Natural Family Planning) to married and engaged couples. The Main Series class teaches the Sympto-Thermal Method which can be used to avoid or help achieve pregnancy (3-Class Session). Pre-Menopause (1-Class Session) and Post-Partum (1-Class Session) classes are also offered.
Class Sessions are scheduled during the academic year: 1st Wednesday from 5:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., Church Library, Nursery Provided.

Hospitality Ministry

Light meals are provided for families following a funeral held at Saint John’s. Volunteers help to prepare food, set-up, serve, and clean-up. Volunteers help to prepare food, set-up, serve, and clean-up for other church events.
Knit One Pray Two

Knits/crochets prayer shawls, prayer angels, blankets, caps, and bookmarks for those suffering from cancer or other serious illnesses. Prays for the ill as well as reads scripture.

Married Fellowship

We provide education events, community outreach activities, materials and resources on pro-life & pro-family topics We work in conjunction with the Natural Family Planning Ministry.

Prime Timers - Senior Fellowship
